The approximately 1800 vintage postcards in this collection represent Hamilton and surrounding communities. They document changes in technology, demographics, transportation and architecture. Postcards also provide a snapshot of celebrations, historic events, and everyday life.  Look closely and you will see how the horse was replaced by the automobile, new names on store fronts and changes in fashions and pastimes.
